9 Minute Workouts that Enhance Your Recovery from Hip Replacement

by Hip Replacement Recovery Expert

While he was in the Special Forces, a friend invented this exercise program to keep the soldiers in top physical fitness while they were in the field. After my hip replacement, he assigned me a workout program that quickly helped in my recovery from hip replacement.

The soldiers were in a hostile environment and had absolutely no equipment to train with. After they returned to base, their run times had decreased and they were lifting more weight!

My friend suggested that I use this set of exercises during my hip replacement recovery, and, wow, I could really tell the difference fast. I recovered from the stress of surgery faster, and I regained my normal walking gait in record time.

Because my body was healthier and stronger from these workouts, my body was resilient and more prepared to deal with the pain of the surgery.

These are a few things that you’ll see from this program:

Feel Fast Results

You’ll feel and see the results so quickly that you’ll feel more confident about this approach to your rehabilitation. It’ll also encourage you to follow the exercise program regularly and recover faster.

Full Body Health

Even though the surgery might have only worked on your hip, it is actually your whole body that is involved in the hip replacement recovery.

For example, your core muscles are integral for balance. Controlling and improving your balance is going to be one of the greatest advantages that these workouts provide.

  • With increased balance and full body strength, you’ll quickly be able to pursue daily activities and even be able to quickly participate in your favorite low-impact hobbies and exercises.
  • Whether you enjoy biking, dancing, or golf, you’ll be surprised how quickly this set of exercises will improve your strength, range of motion, and mobility.
  • You’ll have more endurance, power, stronger posture, and increased flexibility.

Hip Replacement Exercises that Can Be Performed Anywhere

  • These exercises were developed for soldiers that had no access to equipment, gyms, tracks, pools, or weights. They can be done anywhere and at any time.
  • If you travel, prefer to work out at home, in a park, or even at a friend’s house, then this program is ideal for you.
  • No limitations, no restrictions, no cumbersome equipment, and no stress!

A Holistic Approach

This program doesn’t just target your hip, but your entire body and mind. By moving from one exercise to the next quickly, you’ll keep your heart rate elevated. By increasing blood flow and metabolism, you’ll move the proper hormones through your body faster.

You’ll also reduce the risk of infection and rejection.

This program also focuses on breath control. Breath control has many benefits.

  • Learning to breathe properly is conducive to healing, mood elevation, and strengthening your body.
  • Breath control will improve blood flow, release hormones and bloodstream, and teach you to gain control over your pain threshold and responses.
  • Breath is directly linked to your mood. So learning to breathe properly during exercise and during regular activities will keep you calm, motivated, and confident.
  • Deep breathing increases oxygen to the brain, improving your memory. It sharpens your awareness and perception.

What, exactly, are the ’9 minute exercises?’ I definitely need something like that; I’m a dancer, among other things, normally active, healthy and slim. Going back to swimming as of tomorrow, too.
